With the launch of MomSpo South Africa, all three founders did a photography shoot in their hometowns - which also highlighted their family, home city, and of course their excitement. Tracy Lee Photography captured Ash's family in the most beautiful garden in Bryanston, Johannesburg.
Ash has made use of Tracy's photography services in the past, too, with Kayla's Mickey Mouse 2nd year birthday cake smash & bubble tub shoot.
Tracy has a beautiful white and light french styled studio in Bryanston, with hundreds of props and backdrops. She also loves to shoot on locations. Spending a morning or afternoon with Tracy is so much fun, and she is incredible with children. She has some sneaky ways to get babies and children to laugh - and boy, does she get them to laugh. Big belly laughs, all captured so perfectly. Her relaxed presence makes the world of a difference when shooting families with children - who can be temperamental. She will assist you with deciding on a look and feel pre-shoot, and ensure the studio is set up for this, or the location shoot is done at the right time of day for the perfecting lighting.
She won't stop until she is happy, and is a perfectionist with her work. We love how she adapts to the style of shoot so incredibly well, and can one day be shooting a newborn, and the next day a Matric Dance or model portrait. She ensures children and the family are kept entertained, and are having fun while getting shot, but is also so incredible at directing the shoot to get the best shots possible. She has an incredible eye for detail, and we find her really affordable for the love, time, and effort she puts into her shoots.
We thought we would get to know the beautiful and inspiring person behind the Tracy Lee Photography lens, so we asked her a few questions...
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Happy moments are spent with my daughters, adventuring with the love of my life, walking our 3 westies in the park, cooking a scrumptious meal while sipping a glass of crisp white wine & enjoying my rose garden. I love photography, art, travelling, gardening, painting, pilates and yoga.

How did you get from being an aspiring photographer to doing it full time, for a living?
Hard work & Perseverance & always keeping up with the trends - styles, social media etc.
What challenges have you faced as a working mama?
The beauty about having my own business is I have been able to juggle my time with my daughters & working. I think a working mom teaches children the benefit of earning your own money & how to work hard. One downside is I work a full Saturday, but that’s to accommodate my clients.
