The clay café is a family owned business which was established in 1999. They have recently moved premises to a 2.5 acre property in the beautiful town of Hout Bay.
They have both an indoor and outdoor area (so weather is never an issue) and a fully equipped children’s playground.
The Clay Cafe is an ideal day out for a ‘one of a kind’ creative experience. They offer adult and children’s parties (4 years and up), school outings, hen parties and team buildings and of course a delicious menu. All bookings 10 people or less can easily be booked online, hassle free. See below for their services.
Each person is given the chance to indulge in their own personal ceramic masterpiece while they sit back, relax and let the venue do the rest. They make all our food fresh from scratch everyday, so food is served when ready and is always a hit! They also pick fresh produce from our veggie garden to add into our salads and wraps.
The Clay Cafe makes for a memorable visit of creativity and recreation for all ages.
Choose from a vast array of unfired bisque (already made pottery pieces); and a wide selection of colourful paints and tools to create crockery that is both personal and completely unique, not to mention functional (all items once fired are dishwasher proof, microwave proof and oven proof). Spend a leisurely few hours painting in a relaxed environment with their friendly staff at hand to assist you while enjoying one of our many farm style breakfasts or lunches.
All painted bisque items need to be left with them to be fired and glazed and collected after 3 weeks.
Open 9-5pm daily. All bookings are set at 3 hours. 10% service fee added to tables 8 or more.
R500 deposit is required for tables over 10 people. This is not refundable should you decide to cancel your booking.
