I heart Market

I heart Market is a community of makers. For 10 years we have been creating a platform for local design, craft, fashion and food.

I heart Market is the Anti-Mall – providing a retail space for local creatives, that is also a great day out in pleasant surroundings.

On market day, Durbanites and visitors, friends and family gather under the iconic arches of Moses Mabhida Stadium to meet the makers, people watch, eat great food and support local artisans and crafters.

I heart Market takes place on the first Saturday of the every month from 9am – 2pm. The exception is in December when we hold 3 (or more) markets on each Saturday before Christmas.

From time to time we may have other market events at different venues.

To confirm these dates – cast your eye over our Facebook events.

Litchi Orchard Market

Every second Saturday of the month, is the Makers Market from 9am - 1PM. From our original vision to create an authentic Farmers' Market on the North Coast, we have uncovered a wealth of incredible local small business 'Makers'. Our overriding vision at The Litchi Orchard has always been to foster and grow small local entrepreneurs and our new Makers' Market is the perfect platform to introduce local 'Makers' of all kinds - from the potter, olive seller and baker, to clothing designers, basket maker and jewellers, to the veggie grower, wire crafter and bag maker - craft, skill and talent is on show. And of course, a delicious breakfast or lunch awaits from a select number of quality food traders. Join us and meet the Makers!

And, due to popular demand, A Series of Bazaar Events has brought back the Night Market of old in a fresh new way - under the name MARKET BY NIGHT. Market by Night conjures up images of a festive bazaar and is an evening filled with the best our local artisans have to offer, at the Market by Night at The Litchi Orchard in Salt Rock! The monthly Market by Night will take place on the last Friday of every month.
