This is an exciting, child friendly 40 minute cruise from Hout Bay harbour to Duiker Island the Seal Colony where you can view thousands of wild Cape Fur Seals, close up in their beautiful natural habitat. There are also other cruises available, which you can view on their website.

Our original – and now world-famous – Scratch Patch was started in Simon’s Town in 1970. (It has since been “copied” in other parts of the world!) It is a place where you can have loads of fun “scratching” for your favourite tumble-polished gemstones from thousands of polished stones that quite literally cover the floor.

There are a wide variety of tumble-polished gemstones in the Scratch Patch, mostly popular Southern African stones such as Tiger’s Eye, Rose Quartz, Amethyst, Jasper, Agates and Crystals. If you’re lucky, you might find virtually anything including Lapis Lazuli, Blue Lace Agate and some really exotic stones! It’s an inexpensive visit and popular with all ages – and being surrounded by so many colourful stones is a memorable and uplifting experience. More and more “mainstream” people are starting to believe that gemstones have “powers” – and being surrounded by so many beautiful polished gemstones certainly does have a calming effect on many people – and especially children!

The Cave Golf course at the V&A (at the Scratch Patch, near the Aquarium) has become very popular with visitors to Cape Town’s world famous “waterfront”.

This 18-hole mini-golf layout is fun to play, and despite being relatively short and compact, it’s well-designed and challenging enough to be enjoyed even by regular golfers. It’s also indoors, so can be played and enjoyed in any weather!

Acrobranch is a treetop experience dedicated to offering children and adults alike a unique adventure as they move from tree to tree in lush, green forests. We propose different obstacle courses in each of our parks, some for kids (marked Acrobranch Kids) and some for reasonably fit adults and teenagers. Obstacles consist of awesome tree top high ropes and tricky crossings (with ladders, tunnels, walkways and bridges). We also offer spectacular zip lines to top it off. You will enjoy two hours of fun and adventure with Acrobranch – it is an awesome way to experience something a bit unique!

This is Indoor Kart Racing - South Africa's most accessible, inexpensive, mega-excitement sport. The adrenaline rush of racing a high-tech kart at high speed around a twisty racetrack as you jostle for position against other drivers can only be duplicated in sports such as bungi jumping and skydiving. Yet karting is a neighbourhood sport, easy to do and much less expensive than jumping off a bridge or out of an aircraft. From a safety viewpoint, close supervision of all racing is strictly maintained to ensure that no dangerous driving takes place. Kenilworth Karting has an excellent safety record and a novice may venture onto the track without fear. Many ladies also race at Kenilworth Karting and our ladies lap record is only fractionally slower than the best time.
  

Go hurtling down a half-pipe in a bobsled, flying through the twists and curves as you race along the 1.25 km track. It’s fun, it’s fast, and it’s safe! The first downhill tobogganing track in Africa, Cool Runnings is a Cape Town-based family park boasting an intricate course of steel tracks and top-notch, wheeled bobsleds.

It’s fun for kids and adults, and it’s completely safe and the combination of speed and skill makes it a thrilling challenge for even the most die-hard speed freak. 

Indoor climbing is a fun way of exercising in a safe and vibrant environment. Climbing is not about sitting on a treadmill for what feels like hours – each climb is different and will challenge you every time both physically and mentally. Our climbing facilities include a large bouldering area (bouldering is climbing 3-4m high without a rope) and high walls for roped climbing.
